Having a cord wrapped grip not only give its user better retention than wooden grips, but also has a longer lifespan.

Having worked as an Armorer for productions with companies such as Hudson Classical Theater and Brooklyn Action Theater, I know that blades can take a beating after just one show.
Whether it‘s rust, sharp burrs, a grip that needs to be refurbished, or loose parts its important to maintain your weapons for the safety of your cast and crew, as well as making sure your weapons look good for the stage or screen.

I specialize in maintaining edged weapons such as swords, daggers, knives, polearms, and axes as well as warhammers and shields.

In the world of Stage and Screen Combat we are often handed a weapon that is balanced incorrectly and is much heavier than the historical weapon which it is based on.
Most of the the time this is due to an overbuilt blade.
These overly heavy weapons are not only historically inaccurate, they are also draining on you as a performer and dangerous to your scene partners.
I offer services where I can reduce the weight of the blade and make the overall balance of your weapon more correct.
CAS Hanwei/Tinker Arming Sword blade that has been ground down to have a stronger distal and profile taper.
